Getting ready

So this past weekend was all about getting the big things ready for the new baby. We woke up in a panic on Saturday thinking I was farther along then what I was so we figured we should get everything ready in case this little guy decides to come earlier than expected.

So we bought another Britax car seat for Paul's car (thanks craigslist) and we turned Austin forward facing. I know what your thinking...shouldn't you have done that when he was one, well after much research we found keeping your babes rear facing longer was safer for them. But since Austin is going to be a big brother soon we figured it was time to turn him around.

Next we got the baby's car seat ready. The cover was washed and we put a little monkey in it in place of the baby for now. Also we wanted to see how Austin would react to the car seat with the monkey...lets just say this baby might need 24 hr super vision because Austin rolled the car seat over!
We also put our swings together. We have one upstairs in our bedroom with the bassinet in my walk in closet and the other swing downstairs.

All we have to do now is get our bags packed and deliver this baby...also we have to buy diapers and formula but I figured we can make Paul do an emergency trip to the store or something...after all I am the one in labor :-)
