Bones

We have a few Halloween books in the house that we have been reading and some of them have skeletons in them. Rather than it be a scary thing for him we tried to explain to Austin what bones are. we showed him the bones in his body and our bodies.

He replied with "Daddy, you have big bones" hahaha

We also made a skeleton for the boys to play with on the fridge and trying to sing the bone song.

Puyallup Fair

Puyallup County Fair

We were lucky enough this year again to get hooked up with free parking and free admission (the more money to spend on delicious treats!)

Our first stop was the roasted corn. Austin and the rest of us LOVE corn! and it sure was yummy!!!
Andrew loved the corn and why not he loves to bite so this is only sharpening his skills!
Daddy and Austin trying to eat the most corn before the other eats it all.
Then we walked around to see what else we could sink out teeth into. And for those of you who know Austin know that he also loves SAUSAGE so we got him a bratwurst (to share, but that didn't go to well).

The kids also enjoy seeing animals. And what's better than seeing animals, getting to touch them!

Austin was so excited that Miss Rabbit as there too. He kept trying to pick her up....hmmm maybe we will have to get him one some day.
While daddy and Austin were buying ride tickets, Andrew and I played on this cool "instrument"

He loved banging on everything with all of his might!
Sadly Andrew was to small to go on the rides but was happy and content watching everything go on around him.

Her is daddy and Austin on the train

Then Austin got to pick one more ride and he picked the big big slide! Daddy got a little nervous climbing up those stairs but put on a brave face for Austin (Paul and I aren't a fan of heights)

I love the look on Austin's face, shear happiness and glee.

We sure had a great night out as a family. We love seeing their smiling faces and exposing them to all sorts of new things.

Nursery

Andrew is 18 months and can go to his nursery Sunday school class!

This may not seem like a big deal to most but let me explain. On Sundays we have 3 hours of church (Sacrament meeting and then the other 2 hours our various Sunday school and group classes). So when the babies are born up until they are 18 months old they tag along with mommy or daddy to their classes. But sometime when you have active toddlers like we do it can be challenging. When they are 18 months they get to go to their own class where they sing, play, learn about the savior with kiddos their own age. Although I was happy that Andrew was in nursery I was sad too because my baby is growing up so fast.

8 Months Pregnant

Let the list making and getting ready for this sweet boy begin!

Yup, the Zoo again!

My boys sure love going to the zoo, I am so glad we bought passes. Today we went with their friends Luke and Shelby and their mom Heidi.

Austin his a fascination with snakes, he was so excited!
The boys loved watching the seals swim back and forth. I think given the chance they would have drove right in.

Luke and Austin "almost" as tall as the polar bear.

It was such a nice day. I am really enjoying my time with these crazy silly kiddos.

Halloween Photoshoot

Once again my friend Ann worked her magic and took some wonderful pictures of my boys for Halloween. And if i don't say so myself, aren't they adorable?

Touch a Truck

Every year our county holds a free event to promote awareness about community workers and let kids get up close and personal with all kinds of trucks.

The kids were super excited and they got cool construction hats too!
Austin and daddy working the trash truck
The kids and daddy working the tractor
The loved all of the road signs. Surprise surprise Austin's favorite sign was the railroad sign

He loved driving and steering all the big trucks
 Andrew is ready for work!

We had so much fun, we are definitely going next year.

Labor Day Weekend!

We love Labor Day weekend and all holiday weekends, because we get to have daddy for 3 whole days straight!

We started off by going to Mount Rainer on Saturday to go on a Steam Engine. The boys love trains.
Andrew hamming it up for the camera
The boys were glued to the windows, so excited to see everything outside!

That night Paul and I had our first date night we had had in months. It was so nice for it to be just us. So casually eat our meal and not to have to talk over anyone :-).

Sunday we had our good friends the MacArthur's over with their girls for dinner. We got to relive Paul's debut on the Price is Right. Paul is our local celebrity.

Monday we found a farm in Carnation,Washington called Remlinger Farms. It was a farm, an amusement park and shop all in one. It was a perfect place for our family.
We got to ride on (a smaller) steam engine that traveled through the farm

The kids got to go on a canoe ride and only got a little wet!
They had a bike path that was really cool
The boys even got to drive old Ford Model T cars

They also had  a lot of animals. This was both of their first time riding on a horse and they were both thrilled!

What a great way to end a wonderful weekend. We sure do love our boys and all of the adventures we get into with them. We love going on drives and exploring new places and can't wait to go on more!
