Christmas!

Like most kids Austin was so excited, waking us up earlier than normal (yawn!) We all came down stairs and tried taking turns openning presents but we ended up openning everything all at once because they both were so excited.

The kids were openning gifts from Opa and Oma. They loved their books and basketball hoop.

Continuing my moms tradition with wrapping gifts in empty boxes you would find around the house...i wrapped Paul's Home Depot gift card in a tampon box hahaha.
My parent's got me a book and a recipe book (love it) and Paul got me some movies, another book and tickets to see King Tut!!!
They weren't super happy that I made them take a picture before running off to play with their gifts. But afterwards they both ran off and were busy for hours afterwards playing and having fun.

Once this little guy woke up he opened his presents too. He loved his toys that can attach to his car seat. Thank you Oma and Opa.

The After Math!

We had a really nice Christmas. It was nice to spend it as our new family of 5. The kids are at a really fun age were they are beginning to understand and get excited about Christmas. They loved all of their gifts and there has been non stop playing in our house.

Olympia Children's Museum

Last year we bought annual passes to the zoo and North West Trek, so we thought we would change it up and get the kids passes to the children's museum in Olympia. This place is great the the kids. There is so much for both of them to do there and they have so much fun.

Andrew at the bakery, picking up breakfast for momma
Fire Fighter Andrew to the rescue, he sure loved getting dressed up and playing in all of the emergency vehicles.
Austin and Andrew working the craine delivering packages
And after a day of hard playing Austin is working even harder serving up some lunch

We sure do love bringing our kids to different places watching their imaginations grow and their excitement.

Snowflake Lane, Bellevue Square

Each weekend we have been trying to do a holiday activity. This weekend we went to Bellevue to watch their "snow fall" and watch the musical show they had on the streets. It was about 40 degrees so we were all bundled up nicely for this cool night.

Me and the kids meeting up with the polar bear
Paul, Austin and Andrew dancing to the Christmas music

Later we went in the mall to warm up, play and say hello to the big guy himself. He looked and waved right at Austin. He was so excited.

Fantasy Lights

There is a park close to our house that has a ton of light displays that you can drive through. This is the second year we have gone and the kids love it!
We popped popcorn and played Christmas music. The kids had so much fun looking at all the Christmas lights.

It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas

Austin and daddy picking out the best Chirstmas tree for our family
Andrew putting the star on the tree
And Austin putting the star on the tree... they were both very excited about this
My little cuties and tolerating mom taking WAY too many pictures
Our little Santa...the best present under the Chirstmas tree for sure!

We also made sugar cookies. The kids loved cutting out the shapes...until "someone" figured out how good the dough was.
The next day we invited our good friend Rachel and her daughter Quinn to decorate cookies with us. Well there was a lot more eating and a lot less decorating then we anticipated but we still had fun.

Merry Christmas

On My Own

I've had people in my house for about a month now between Paul and his paternity leave/ vacation time with Thanksgiving and my parent's were here there have always been more adults than kids in the house. But the time would soon come where I would be grossly out numbered 3 to 1! I'm not going to lie I was nervous but I was also ready. We accomlished a lot (well a lot to a new mom of three)

Let me give you the run down:
* I ventured out of the house with the kiddos on my own (this is a biggy) 3 kids, 3 carseats...2 in the shopping cart and one holding on. We made it and Target is still standing
* I've mangaed to get some sleep and at some point in the day my teeth were brushed
* I also had to start making dinners (first time in a month! my church provided a week or so of dinners and my wonderful mom did the rest)

We survivied!

But most of all I found that I could do it! We are back to a regular routine with playgroups and outings and we are loving (mostly) every minute of it!

There is lots of laughter and love in our house. It's not without its work and some tears but it makes it all worth it at end of the day with these little cuties by my side.

I sure am one lucky momma!

Oma and Opa Visit

My mom and dad came down for 2 weeks in November to help out with our new little addition and play with the big kids. The kids were so excited to have them here. They love playing with their oma and opa.

When my dad came to visit he surprised the kids with an electric train set...words and express how excited my train obsessed boys were. Thank you opa! The boys also enjoyed rough housing and playing trains with opa.
All of my boys adroe their oma. They love to read stories, play trains, color and compete with ne another who gets to sit on her lap.

Thank you oma and opa for visiting.
We love and miss you!

Catching up!

I've taken a little break from the blogging world trying to figure out how to be a mother of 3 young boys, get some sleep and try and keep the house in order. Now that we all are back in to our routine I've got some catching up to do on the blog!

While I've been gone this little guy became 1 month old!!! Time flies!

Alexander is super sweet and we love him like he was always a part of our family.
Here are some of his newborn pics taken by my super talented friend Ann.
