Christmas with my boys

Paul and I were so excited to bring Austin down stairs this morning...he was excited too but I don't think he knew why. Opening his first gift, train tracks for his train table
He was pretty good at opening his gifts
He also got a conductor hat with train whistle, he was over joyed
next, a wooden puzzle...he gets a little frazzled when the pieces don't fit
a gift from grandma and papa Johnson, thank you so much, he loves his car ramp and cars!!!
I got Paul a case for his watches

Austin enjoying his new car...this kid was obsessed!
Austin was pretty exhausted from all of the excitement. So after breakfast he and Paul went down for a nap and by the time they wake the roast and the rest of the fixings will be ready for to eat.
Merry Christmas
From our family to yours

Someone blew our $5 budget...

and it came in a pretty blue box

Maternity Session

I found a great photographer on Craigslist. She is a beginning photographer so I lent myself and my pregnant belly to be the model for a photo shoot. This was our practice session and we are going to have an other one in February when I am large and in charge.

Getting ready for Christmas

We bought our Christmas tree a couple of weeks ago. We decided to put all of the decorations on after Austin was asleep in hopes of deterring him from ripping them all down :-) Putting on the lights and ornaments. We collect ornaments from all of the vacations and places we have been so it was nice to relive some of those memories.
...the next morning
1 ornament broken and about a dozen gone missing...I guess someone is enjoying his Christmas tree.

Day 10...DISNEYLAND

One of my favorite places - DISNEYLAND - I was so excited to go today, I think Austin was pretty happy to. He was pretty much in awe the whole day and the face that you see is what we saw all day because he was trying to take everything in Our first ride we went on was Finding Nemo, we thought it was awesome and Austin loved it!
Alice and Wonderland
Carousal
Sleeping Beauty
Austin's favorite ride, It's a small world, we went on it twice.
Austin got to drive on Autopia, well sort of
Dumbo with Oma

Winnie the Pooh
It's a small world once again
What a fun day and because we went on a Monday after the big Holiday rush, Disneyland wasn't as crowed as it could have been and we got to go on lots of rides with short waits.
  • Finding Nemo
  • It's a Small World (twice)
  • Autopia
  • Pinocchio
  • Sleeping Beauty
  • Dumbo
  • Carousal
  • Winnie the Pooh

Day 8

Pretend City
My mom found a great place for us to take Austin, its called Pretend City and its a whole city that is pretend and the little guys get to play with EVERYTHING!!!
Grocery Shopping...more like climb on the counters and throw some boxes around shopping :-)
Someone was a little excited.
Tractor driving
Even in Pretend City you shouldn't text and drive....see what can happen...poor mom
Paul panicking at the police dispatch station.
We had a lot of fun at Pretend City, thanks for the great idea mom!
Afterward we took Austin home for a nap and we got to go out on a DATE, yup that's right just the 2 of us. We went for a drive and a walk at the beach.

Later on the night we had a game night with the Smith's/Petersen family. We got to Tanya and Aaron's house with a welcome sign that read "welcome but especially the Hunter's"...so sweet. Also that night I had a bunch of old friends get together at the skating rink so I met them there for a little bit, boy I haven't seen most of these people in 10 years!

What was Austin doing while his parent's were out on the town? He was playing with his Aunt and Oma and Opa...and even the Dutch Santa Clause made an appearance!

Day 7...Black Friday

Black Friday...by mom and I got up early...well early for me (ready by 8:30) and headed out to brave the crowds at Bella Terra. Our goal was to get some sweet deals at Kohls, my mom's favorite store. The line wrapped around the first floor several times!!! Although there were a ton of people there my mom was able to locate some winter clothes for herself and I scored some gloves for me!
After a long day of shopping for deals we met me sister and we all got pedicures, same color and everything. It was nice to spend time just the 3 of us. When we got home we played with Austin and my parent's gave me a much needed nap and they took Austin to the park.
Austin loved walking with Opa and Roxy
Looks like we might need to buy a puppy soon

After park and nap time we went to my sister's work, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co...for what else Shrimp!!!

Yet another great day spent with family.
