A Trip to Irvine

This whole week Austin has been asking me "when can we go see my Auntie?" So after much begging I finally brought him to my sister's house on Saturday. Austin had so much fun playing, being feed and changed by my sister (which was also her first diaper change!) We had a lot of fun there and we will be back soon.

Who's that in the Mirror???

Austin: "Who is the handsome baby in the mirror! Oh is that me? I am a good looking baby"
Austin loves to look in the mirror and make funny faces, just like his dad! :-)

I shot down about a million more to go!

Austin went to his doctors office and got his first shot. Austin did a much better job handling it than I did. He also got weighed and measured today.
As a newborn he weighed 7 pounds 4 ounces. Now at 1 month he weighs 10 1/2 pounds. When he was born he was 18 1/2 inches tall and now he is 21 1/2 inches tall. Boy they really do grow right in front of your eyes.
Austin and Dr. Nguyen (we love him!)

Bath Time!!!

Yesterday was Austin's first time in the bath (before he was sponge bathed). He loved being in the water. He was moving his arms and legs and was very excited. We are looking forward to bath time when he can play with his toys, but truth be told I think his dad is excited about playing with Austin's toys too!
Daddy is drying off Austin and keeping him nice and toasty (for those of you who know Paul, you know that he radiates heat).

Can I still be in denial about being in my LATE 20's

April 20 was my 27th birthday and as my sweet husband kindly reminded me I am entering into my LATE 20's. What? When did that happen??? Am I really 27, time really does fly by. I don't feel like I am 27, so I think I will celebrate my 21st birthday again :-0

So as many of you know you can register on Disney's website so that you could go to Disneyland for free on your birthday. Who knew it would be the hottest day of the year, it was 100 degrees!!! Well I decided I would try, who could pass an opportunity to go to Disneyland for free? My mom and Austin came along for the journey and we had a lot of fun. We only stayed for a couple of hours but we had fun spending time with each other.
Now that I am a mother myself, it was really interesting spending my birthday with my son I just gave birth to and my mother who gave birth to me. It made me have a better appreciation for her as a mother and it was a special time.
Here is what Austin did most of the time at Disneyland. He was such a good boy that day!
I love having my mom with me, she is always willing to change his diapers and as you could see from the picture you could see why. Austin is winning my mom over with is looks, he is soooo funny.
We finished my birthday off the only way we know how, we went to Don Jose! Shrimp Fajitas, Flour Tortillas PLEASE!

Austin's Future Bride

Austin and Kali
A match made in Heaven...

My good friend Tanya (Boo Bear) Smith came over for a play date with her daughter Kali. We decided that since our families have such a long history and are so close, wouldn't it perfect if these two got hitched some day? Although Kali is twice Austin's size he will catch up with her soon, they are only eight months apart. Well here is to hoping that these to crazy kids will like each other in the future, or at least be good friends like her family and mine.

Kissing or Eating...we are not sure Love at first sight

Time with Opa and Oma

Meet the Babysitters My parent's offered to give Paul and I a little break so that we could go on a date. It was so nice to get out with just the two of us and spend time together. It was even more nice knowing that Austin was taken care of. I always knew that my parent's would love their grandchildren, but its almost a love that you can't describe but is so amazing. We are so thankful that my parent's and sister who are so involved in Austin's life, he and we are definitely blessed. Thanks mom, dad and Jes for loving Austin.

This is what its all about

Some may say its gas, others might say its a switch...no matter what it is it makes only getting 2 hours of sleep a night worth it. I love my little monkey and his little gassy smile. :-)

Armature Photographer Debut

I borrowed my dad's camera for a couple of days and took some pictures of Austin. Surprisingly some of the pictures turned out pretty good.
