Happy 4th of July!!!

We started the day by organizing and cleaning the garage! It was nice having Paul home mid-week and it was even nicer that we were all together.
Encouraging our little guy to walk while we worked

We also set up the kids' pool and their bounce house in the front of the house. We had a great time putting out things away while watching our kids having fun in the sun.

After naps and dinner we bought a few fireworks that we thought the kids would enjoy...

Waiting for it to get darker (it gets dark around 9:30/10:00 in Washington)

Master of ceremonies: the one and only Paul Hunter!

Our lovely fireworks that (again) thought the kids would enjoy...

but these two scaredy cats high-tailed it into the garage for safetly. Notice Ausin is in the garage in a baby Bumbo and Andrew is crawling up the drive way. In their defense Washington fireworks are pretty intense. It's like having Disneyland fireworks all around your house!

Cookies for daddy

Austin and I were trying out a new cookie recipe. He loves being a big helper in the kitchen

Austin was so proud to have a "real" job this time. He had to take the ball of cookie dough and roll it into the sugar. I needed to keep close tabs on this little guy because like his daddy some of it ended up in his mouth :-)
Hard at work

The cookies are a combo of Paul's favorites: chocolate and peanut butter.

Yummy!

NorthWest Trek - Paul's Birthday!

It's Paul's birthday and he wanted to do a family activity in the morning. And since we had our zoo passes we decided to go to the NorthWest Trek animal park.

We got to ride a tram that took us close up to the animals

The Rams were right next to the tram, it was really neat!

They also had a lot of walking trails where we could visit other animals

Hi Slug (that's what Austin always says to his oma)

Happy Birthday sweet pumpkin. We sure do love you a whole lot!

Point Defiance Zoo

My good friend Rachel and I split a combo Zoo and NorthWest Trek annual passes. These passes are an amazing deal, not only can we go but our kids and 3 free guests get to come with us every time. This time we invited our other friend Sara and her cute kidd

Rachel, Quinn, Andrew, Austin, Me. Sara, Olivia and Zooie

Austin loves looking at elephants, he kept yelling "hi Dumbo!"

All the kids pressed up against the glass trying to get as close to the animals as possible

At the end of our day, eating lunch and catching the animal show

but before we left they had a cute park with an awesome slide that Austin just had to try!

We loved the zoo and looking at all the animals. We look forward to many more trips there this year.

It's Starting to Warm up!

It's starting to warm up here in the Pacific North West and the kids and I couldn't be more thrilled. They love being outside, playing in the backyard, running in the sprinklers and going to the park.

Half way there!

Father's Day

Happy Father's day to the best dad my boys could ask for!
The kiddos and I made Paul and candy card this year and it was a bog hit!

We also made him this t-shirt, he loved it and wore it out to dinner that night (we celebrated on Saturday)

These boys sure to adore their daddy and who wouldn't.

Zoo Day

We got FREE tickets from my awesome neighbor to go to the Woodland Zoo in Seattle. So we decided to take Paul for our Father's day outing.

Austin and his close encounter with a Jaguar

Happy Father's day to the best dad in the whole world!

Austin was pretty excited about touching the farm animals that he almost when in there himself.

Chunkster stealing daddy's Mountain Dew

Austin"s favorite animal by far, the snake!

We had such a fun day at the zoo. The kids loved all the animals and we had so much fun on our day out as a family.
