Being 1 is messy!

Austin's Baby Cake Photo Shoot
What a fun and creative way to celebrate our son turning 1. Sometimes I still can't believe that he is going to be 1, but he is becoming such a big boy. But he will always be mommy's little baby.

Probably wondering why I would let him play with his food. He was so timid at first until he finally dug in!

Valentine's Day, in March

This year it was Paul's year to do Valentine's Day (we switch off our anniversary and Valentine celebration. This was also the first year that we had a baby too so Paul planned to have my mom and dad watch him while I was surprised with a night out.
If you know anything about us you know we LOVE Disneyland. And for as long as I can remember I have always wanted to go to that cool restaurant in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, the Blue Bayou. And my hubby was so sweet that he took me there and since we had a sitter I got to have a warm meal ( you moms know what I am talking about) We got seated right by the water and the ambiance was so cool! We both ordered chicken gumbo and the surf and turf (lobster and fillet Mignon!!!!) I can't remember the last time that my mouth was so happy!
Not only did we have a great meal but we had a great view!
What a wonderful day set aside to show that person you love just how much you love them. We show each other all the time but its nice to have special days too!
Thanks for a wonderful Valentine's Day!

My Little Drummer Boy

Either while I am doing the dishes or cooking Austin likes to be right there doing his own thing. He loves to go in the cupboards and pull everything out. Usually I will give him one of my wooden spoons so that he can practice his drumming skills!

Big night out with Mom and Dad

Saturday night we went on an impromptu road trip. We went to the Carlsbad Outlets so that Paul could look at some watches and spend a little of our Christmas money.
Then we took Austin to Ruby's for dinner.
He loved eating off our plates, flirting with our waitress and anyone who would look at him and he especially loved watching the train go round and round.
What a great way to spend a date night, with my 2 best boys!

2 Dates in 1 Week - Austin you are the "Man"

Thank you Haiden and Kali for playing! Austin loves to hangout with you guys.

Practicing for the big day...

This is Austin's walker. He loves to get up and go. But once he starts going he gets so excited and usually doesn't watch where he is going and crashes. Then he gets back up and tries againWhat a big boy!
There he goes.
Any guesses on when the big day will be?

A day at the park

Austin loves being out doors and exploring and he especially loves going to the park. We have a park just minutes for our house so when the weather in nice we are there everyday. Greeting all the holes. He went by and touched every single one!
He also loves the slide, my child the risk taker. He is getting ready to go down ALL by himself.
When he is ready he scoots his little bottom and puts his arms forward and goes down the slide. And with a laugh and a giggle he is done and we do it all over again.

Mischief Managed

Austin is 10 months old which means he can crawl, grab and other words he is on the move and getting into everything (and we are loving it minus the rice incident)
Austin loves to stand and play with his activity table and yes that is my headband
He loves to explore in the kitchen. Its probably one of his favorite places other than the bathroom. He loves to bang on all the pots and pans as well as taking out EVERY cookie sheet I own!
He also was playing behind me the other day while I was doing the dishes and got into my rice container. He is such a silly little boy.

Again loving the kitchen. Different day but same story. If you look at my craft table behind Austin I am sure you know why its empty!
I can't believe how much he is growing. Everyday is different and everyday is an adventure. I am so blessed to have a husband who works so hard so that I can be home with my little man because I wouldn't miss any of this for the world!

I love Disneyland and I love my Oma and now they are in the same place...this is crazy

My mom and Paul met us at Disneyland yesterday. It was so nice to go during the week because you don't have to wait in any of the lines. My mom also gave Paul and I an opportunity to go on a BIG kids ride, something we haven't done in years. What a great night. Thanks mom!

My name is Austin and I have 8 teeth!

and I like to bite anything I can get my mouth on so watch out!

A Magical Place

Disneyland I love Christmas time at Disneyland. Walking down Main Street and listening to the Carolers sing, looking at the beautiful decorations, everyone has a smile on their face and everyone is truly happy.

Is it a flower? or Pen?...it's both!!!

Ever lose you pen at work or someone "accidentally" walks off with it? My sister is busy making unique pens that will not only make your desk look nice but it will be obvious if that person 2 cubicles down stole your pen. Visit my sister's website:

Presents, presents and more presents!

The night before Christmas Austin and Paul we too excited to sleep...Santa would be coming soon!
Our Christmas tree...smells sooooo good Christmas morning getting treats out of our stockings
Paul got Peanut M&M's
I got an Orange Fanta
Later on that day my parent's, sister and my brother in law came over for dinner and gifts. Austin loves to rip the paper. and if you look closely he is unwrapping baby wipes...he also got diapers for a gift from us too.
His Oma, Opa and Aunt Jessica got him the book The Night Before Christmas. But this is no ordinary book they were able to record their voices so that no matter where Austin is in the world he can always hear his Oma, Opa and Aunt Jes read him a bedtime story.
He also got this sweet ride that he went crazy for. He loves this car.
Hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas surrounded with family and friends. But through all of the busyness of the season let's not forget the real reason why we are celebrating Christmas, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
