I took Austin's monthly pictures that are posted on the right side of this blog, mixed them up for others to figure out how many months he was at each picture.

This was a pretty hard game, even I had trouble and I 1. made the game and 2 I took the pictures :-) Everyone speedily at work
Aaron came out on top. He got 9 out of 12 pictures correct.

Thanks to everyone who came. Our baby boy sure is loved!!!

It finally came...

Time never stops so no matter how anxious I was about having my little boy turn one like it or not it was coming. So many people can deal with this in different ways...my way is being CRAFTY. I started (with the help of my mom) making decorations for Austin's party. Almost all of the decorations were hand made by myself. We made his party a monkey themed party because we call him "our little monkey".

and thanks to my sister we also baked most of our treats. We had cupcakes, chocolate covered bananas and of course Austin's birthday cake.

Thanks to all of those who helped make this day a special day not only for Austin but for our family as well. Now lets party!

On my birthday I...

I went to California Adventure with my gal pal Chelsey. We were cooling off in the jumping water. Austin loved the water even though the water was a little cold

He even got to meet some bears and do dental exams on them! (its his secret passion in life)

Then he got to crawl around in a BIG tunnel!

A year ago, we welcomed Austin

A baby of our own.

Nervously and sleepily,

We took him to our home.

We were told there would be crying,

and how to show we care.

A year has gone so quickly,

Yet we have learned so much.

We've felt a love so strongly,

In a baby's gentle touch.
His laughs and smiles.

His pouts and tears.

But we wouldn't trade a minute,

As a thankful mom and dad.

Austin is all draped, toy in hand and ready to get his hair cut!

Paul and I were there for moral support and Austin did a great job, no tears or crying :-)

His stylist is showing him the shaver, this he wasn't a huge fan of.
He was a little concerned about the noise but put on a brave face.

All done and very handsome!

When we were all done we were presented with a lock of his hair and certificate.
